1GB?
editI have one of these labelled Packard Bell, and while the GUI tells me 1GB, looking in /proc/meminfo tells me just 768GB Rkarlsba (talk) 03:48, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Even on my Acer Iconia A500 16GB the system will tell also less memory than announced (745244 kB given by /proc/meminfo), but I guess that the Android is not counting memory reserved for other stuff (GPU?). Gabrieldiego (talk) 23:17, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
- There is 256MB dedicated to the GPU. 71.229.208.19 (talk) 04:11, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- I believe ROM Creators can actually edit this figure, although in this case the ROM is set to reserve 256mb 86.8.236.84 (talk) 16:43, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Official and Unofficial Software
editAs this tablet has such a vibrant development community, it seems that the information on official software from Acer is difficult to locate. I propose we split the Software category into 'Official Software' and 'Unofficial Software', thus splitting off what Acer offer and what the community has 1) got to offer themselves (ie unofficial jellybean builds) 2) done to the Acer builds (i.e. rooting, bootloader patching etc.) Any takers? Otherwise how could we clean up the Software section? It would be nice to elaborate more in some areas but that would, in its current state, be at the detriment of useful info about official Acer software builds 86.8.236.84 (talk) 16:43, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
