Current usage
editBoth the heritage listing's explanation of the building's current usage, and the one we've added, are out of date, since the photo (from October 2013, after both of those) illustrates that it was then vacant. Google Street View dates from a month after the article's photo and Google is unhelpful. Any ideas? The Drover's Wife (talk) 02:50, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- Needs a drive-past. It seems anything that's a small tenancy in the CBD seems to turn over pretty quickly. I'm starting to wonder if it's worth trying to be specific about the current use of QHR buildings that no longer have their historic use. It might be simpler to just say "leased out as office space" or "leased out to small tenants" unless there's something more long-term or interesting to say about the particular occupants. I'm happy to say St Luke's Church of England, Brisbane is now the Pancake Manor because it has been so since about 1980 (30+ years), but not sure it's worth bothering to mention something that's been in place for 6 months. - OK, I have eyeballed it. It's empty with "for lease" signs. Not sure though what to do with the article though. Kerry (talk) 04:32, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
- I'm fine with being more general as long as we get the type of current usage more or less right if it's changed from the last thing the article says it was (as it had here by stating in the register it was an internet cafe). What's there is fine I think: though saying it is now used for retail/commercial uses is enough, still good to have more details if they're there. The Drover's Wife (talk) 12:22, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
