The YouTube page for Lost has The Man in Black's name as Esau. It says so in the description.

It may be simpler than that. and soooo obvious. Jacob made a boo-boo by throwing his brother in the cave of light. The act of defilement changed his murdered brother (who, by the way folks, doesn't have a name, if none of you have noticed). He absorbs the energy of the cave, transforming into "Smokey". Of course the shock has "killed" his mortal body, or he was in shock when Jacob laid him besides his "mother" Perhaps later, when he becomes concsious, he slowly realizes what has happened to him. Or, his consious has separated from his corporeal form. At any rate, we now know the raging, murderous hatred MIB\"Smokey" has for Jacob. It seems that Jacob has been desparately trying to clean-up his mess for millenia. veryverser 00:43, 14 May 2010 (UTC)Veryverser — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.199.137.125 (talk)
