- Wikilink Bashee River and Buffalo River.
- "Chelmsford ordered the force to cross the and prepare for action"
- Write (NNC) after the first mention of the Natal Native Contingent.
- There should be a sentence confirming that Mkumbikazulu was in command of the Zulus during the battle as well as the fact that his full name was Mkumbikazulu kaSihayo. Since this is mentioned in the infobox but not in the main body of the article.
- In General sources Knight, Ian (1992) remove "p. 37".
- Cite the sources used to create Sihayos kraal action map (cropped).png on its Commons page.
- Include the battle in the Anglo-Zulu War Navbox.--Catlemur (talk) 18:41, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
