This article seems to have been translated from German (and HTML) and needs a bit of work...

Worked on

edit

Some more content for the ADL syntax. I intend to add the semantics in the next days, and expand the example. Kikoso (talk) 13:33, 24 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've added some content regarding the complexity of the planner. As there are some references, I've removed the tag of "unreferenced" Kikoso (talk) 16:45, 23 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Peer review has been requested - if no-one takes it up I will perform a review when free in two or three days Chaosdruid (talk) 23:52, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have assessed it as start for the moment while the work on the refs is completed

Wrong information and wrong example

edit

This page is a nice example of combining wrong with correct information. I'm really schocked, what kind of information you get on STRIPS and ADL on the Internet. For example nobody ever notes, that STRIPS is in its original state not as constrained as it gets presented. The original STRIPS from 1972 allowed all kinds of formulas from the first order logic.

But to the topic: First of all is the example totally wrong. This is an example, that is taken from the book "Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach". It is stated as a PDDL example and I really don't know, how anybody would mistake that as an ADL example. I mean, it is written in the article itself: "An ADL schema consists of an action name, an optional parameter list and four optional groups of clauses labeled Precond, Add, Delete and Update.". If the ADL action consists of the gropus of clauses named as "Precond", "Add", "Delete" and "Update", then why do we have "Precondition" and "Effect" in the example? Someone really could have noticed. Proper examples can be found in Pednaults Paper to ADL.

ADL by the way does not have any types. I do not know, from where that was taken. I don't think, that there are conditional effects either. This article needs some thorough clean-up. --Youkichirou (talk) 10:39, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
