Victorious in what sense? Is everything "historic"? User:SlimVirgin would point out that there are no references here.--Wetman 07:50, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I believe the highly scientific phrase is "buggered if I know"... all the information came from the existing article, just redrafted (I did a small spate of the "Action of xxx" ones like this). I did wonder about it myself, mind you.
- It's plausible enough - the Russians were knocking the Turkish fleet seven ways to Sunday around then - but I wouldn't know where to look to confirm it without a detailed history of the war. This seems to be an endemic problem with these kind of entries; is something small enough that it's essentially a skirmish worth noting?
- A lot of the "Action of..." entries are by User:SpookyMulder, it seems; you might want to chase him up for a source. (It looks like the sort of thing you find as a sidenote in a history of the war, or someone's biography, but...) Shimgray 09:23, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
