I think that this section kinda misses the point. Of course we can see things we don't know, but that's not what this theory is about. - Active perception is the process of taking actions in the enviroment which increase the understanding of the environment. It has a specific usage in robotics where a robot moves a sensor around (such as a camera or gas sensor) to understand, for example, where a gas leak is coming from or where concentrations of algae in a lake are.
