Spelling of name
editThis guy's name was Adam List, not Liszt! His father's first name was not György, but also Adam. He also was not transferred to Raiding in 1809. This article is very flawed.--178.190.53.158 (talk) 16:10, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

"Which probably gave him the inspiration to name his son Franz."
editThis of course is nonsense, because Franz Liszt was named Franz after his godfather.--178.190.48.110 (talk) 10:48, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
Origin of Liszt family
There is no scientifical proof about what ethnical origin the Liszt family had. They could have been of germanic, slavic and/or magyar origin. List actually means treeleaf in some slavic languages from what then was in the Hungarian Kingdom: croatian and/or slovak. Liszt means flour in hungarian. The familyname could have been of germanic origin as well. Almost all hungarians have since centuries had magyar, slavic and germanic ancestors. Probably a hungarian family of mixed origins, as is the rule with hungarians and the exception for the others. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.177.200.50 (talk) 22:25, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
Udo Fischer's genealogy
editThe genealogy at the Pfarre Paudorf website [1] is flawed and 100% plagiarized from the faulty secondary literature. It should not be used for a Wikipedia article.--91.113.60.191 (talk) 08:13, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
