Is factually wrong. Refer Talk:Christian Murchison. Will you correct it or will I? --Falcadore (talk) 08:23, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes your right. Just looked on V8 Supercar website and say he came 56th,not 54th. --NigelPorter (talk) 00:33, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
But the V8Supercar website is also wrong. Did you read the section of the V8Supercar manual I quoted to you? It spells it how to do this. In the event that two drivers are tied on points they are seperated by best round position. Adam Macrow's best round position is 18th at Sandown. Kayne Scott who appears 64th on the lsit has a 17th, Chris Pither finished 16th at Bathursy thus making him senior of any drivers on 0 points so therefore, in the event that receving no points actually got you a championship position, Chris Pither and Kayne Scott would both be ahead of Adam Macrow. Except that in the 48 year history of the Australian Touring Car Championship it has been established that zero points does not get you a championship position, and now you want to change that?
I have given you official reference demonstrating why the numbers you wish to perpetrate are wrong, and demonstrated what the correct procedure is, why do you have a problem with this? Why do you wish to perpetuate incorrect information? --Falcadore (talk) 03:17, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
The Manual can say onething, but the Suplimentry Regulations over ride the manual. Do youknow what they say? Is there a public copy available? Or do the teams only get one? --NigelPorter (talk) 03:36, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I didn't get to see all the Supp regs this year, the ones I did see made no mention of alterations to methods of points systems. However I do notice that the correct method of undoing ties have been used in the instances wher actual points were received. I also note though that championship ranking has however been awarded to the place on the chart, rather than to points awarded, hence for example Richard Lyons and Allan Simonsen been given different positions despite there being no actual method of seperating endurance co-drivers. Do you have a source that says where it was overidden as you have implied? --Falcadore (talk) 07:27, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Nope. Thats why I asked if you have seen the latest Sup regs. The point system must have been changed via a Cams Bullitin or Sup Regs, or they would be using the FIA's official Point scoring or 20,15,12,10,8,6,4,3,2,1. --NigelPorter (talk) 09:05, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
So you are saying that the Manual does not apply despite it being approved by the FIA? --Falcadore (talk) 09:22, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I can see your after an argument here. I know you've raced before and know what Im talking about. I also know that you know that each series can make up their own spacific rules outside of the Cams Manual called Sup Regs. ie the V8 Supercars dont run 11' black numbers on white backgrounds as the Cams Manual specifies. So Im not getting dragged into an argument. Edit as you see fit. --NigelPorter (talk) 22:39, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
That was a straight up question, no malice intended. Don't try reading between the lines, my only agenda is accuracy of information. When I got into Wikipedia Australian motorsport had a bare handful of articles and a lot were poorly written and a lot were also highly inaccurate. The addition of yourself, Marcusaurilieas, GTHO, Bcook, xbgs351 and others has been a real boon to massively improving the quality and quantity of Australian motorsport content on Wikipedia. I also know through long experience that large portions of the media, specialist pres, newsprint and broadcast use Wikipedia to source their information and I want them to have the most accurate information. Our sport is misrepresented enough as it is. --Falcadore (talk) 03:16, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
