Source of confusion over 2019 IBJJF no-gi world title
editSome sources don't list Adam Wardzinski as the 2019 IBJJF no-gi world champion, even though the IBJJF website does. The source of confusion seems to be that originally Kaynan Duarte won gold and Adam Wardzinski won silver in the 2019 no-gi world championship, but then Duarte was stripped of his 2019 IBJJF title(s) because of a failed February 2020 drug test. Sources that reported the original results would list Duarte as the 2019 no-gi world champion, even though Wardzinski is now officially recognized by the IBJJF as the 2019 no-gi world champion. --JHP (talk) 00:11, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
