Possible page split

edit

Now i know the A's have the same lineup as the Avalanche and that they are playing the Avalanches remaining games for the season but i was thinking, should these the Avalanche information and the A's information be split onto seperate articles, and then list the Avalanche as a defunct team? I would probably leave it as a single page, but this is only because, from my external Melburnian perspective, it is least confusing. I think the best answer has to come from an Adelaider, with perspective on whether the A's culture considers its richer Avalanche history. Aspirex (talk) 09:39, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeh but what i was thinking is a problem is the championships won. Avalanche won them all, and the A's have won nothing. On the AIHL site under teams they dont list under the A's team. Also its not like they just renamed the team, the Avalanche was discontinued and then the A's were started up under a different ownership. They only retained the players and played the Avalanche's games under a deal with the AIHL. Salavat (talk) 09:48, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Alright i made the decision to split the teams information up, in the end i basically saw it as two different franchises with the A's making a deal with the AIHL and having nothing really to do with the Avalanche in relation to ownership. Salavat (talk) 07:01, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
