Could we not redirect "Settlement of Aden" back to "Colony of Aden"? 14:27 27 January 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.96.33.67 (talk) 19:28, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

That is a excellent idea. But we still have to have somebody to write an article about the Settlement of Aden (is such an article is not just abou the same as this one) or take out the link. Jeremy (talk) 15:19, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

incorrect statements

"The Western Aden Protectorate was a nearby territory of 75 sq miles that was ceded to Britain by Sultan Muhsin bin Fadl, while the Eastern Aden Protectorate composed of the Arab sheikdoms of Hadhramaut and the island of Socotra."

This is not correct. The Aden colony, consisting of the town of Aden and its immediate surroundings, was 75 square miles. The Western Aden Protectorate was much large than that, is was about 20% of the size of South Yemen, and included Lahej and a bunch of other shiekdoms.Eregli bob (talk) 19:20, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
