Oyster
editI thought there was also a brew (Stout) known as Adnams Oyster.
Sam, Norwich, UK
- Certainly is, I've added it William M. Connolley 16:07, 26 March 2006 (UTC) (Cambridge, UK)
PLC
editI am fairly sure the company suffix "PLC" wasn't in use in 1890. Can anyone confirm with certainty what the company changed its name to in that year? Barnabypage 13:59, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- The UK Companies House web-check states that the company (number 00031114) was incorporated on 24 March 1890 and changed its name from "Adnams & Company PLC" to "Adnams PLC" on 11 September 1999. The Adnams web-site simply says "Our History: 1890 - Adnams is established as a limited company and the Sole Bay Brewery is rebuilt." -- MightyWarrior 13:08, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Requested move 11 April 2019
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Consensus to move, therefore, moved. Adnams is the WP:COMMONNAME. (closed by non-admin page mover) Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 15:16, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
Adnams Brewery → Adnams – The company name is "Adnams plc", "Adnams Brewery" is the building where they make beer. Company is referrred to as "Adnams" in published sources including the Evening Standard [1], the Guardian [2], and the BBC [3]. Adnams is both the accurate name and the common name. I agree that it should be renamed and moved. However, the entire article could also do with some updating, as there are several more beers, ciders etc. added and some gone. The distillery side is now a big part of the operation, and merits a separate section.

Jack Brand
editNo mention of the Jack Brand? Some of Adnams best selling beers are sold under this brand including their Dry Hopped Lager.

I'll happily put a list of the beers together (and can supply photos) but all of this info is available on their site (I believe).
