editNon of the source cited state that Meyer was gay. Auer Encyclodedia (ISBN 2-903671-04-4) states that Meyer is also French, English and American. Jatayou (talk) 11:17, 24 December 2008 (UTC).
I have deleted part of Note 8 which read "However a nearly unreadable and unexplained note on the margins of that document gives the date of 10 September 1899 as a later entry for the same marriage". It does nothing of the kind. It reads "In Entry No 304 Cols 7 and 8 for Caraccio read Caracciolo. Corrected on the 13th September 1899 by me A(?).J. Myers. Jas: J: Hunt, Clerk to Mr J.B. Seatle Solr 34 Sloane Square S.W., C. Gooding, Clerk, Trinity Church, Wm. Major, Supt. Registrar". AnthonyCamp (talk) 19:37, 11 February 2010 (UTC).

Needs improvement
editAs it stands the article does little more than reel off the people he photographed, but what matters is not who he photographed but how he photographed them - all his photographs are high art which is how he came to get the job as the first ever fashion photographer: his mastery of the nuances of light and shade was amazing, and his still lifes perplexing and peerless. Some great examples of his work can be found in Camera Work. Samatarou (talk) 06:08, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
