Naming?
editThis article was only about the central panel. This was changed to cover the whole triptych. The title was changed to Uffizi Triptych, but reverted by User:Johnbod. The term "Uffizi triptych" is used to refer to this triptych (example), but might be a bit confusing. What do you think about changing it to Uffizi triptych (Mantegna)? - The move I reverted in 2018 was undiscussed, and obviously led to too much ambiguity, as there are many triptyches in the Uffizi, several with articles here (Portinari Triptych, Annunciation Triptych (Simone Martini), The Raising of Lazarus (Froment), the main panel of the Pagagnotti Triptych, and so on). In addition, that it ever was a triptych is not really certain, as the article explains. Here's a link to an article in a RS on another panel that may be involved. Note that this does not use "Uffizi Triptych" (the proper name form that would alone justify a move), but "Uffizi triptych", ie just a descriptive phrase. However, this MET catalogue is a good source for "Uffizi Triptych", though most gbooks hits are for a different one by Bernardo Daddi. I don't have very strong feelings. If moved it should be to Uffizi Triptych (Mantegna). Johnbod (talk) 18:55, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
