I'll review this. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 09:50, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for the review; sorry for the wait. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
Images are appropriately tagged; sources are reliable.
"Although not an active polity in MAS leadership": I don't think "polity" is the right word -- it is used to talk about forms of government at the state level, not within political groupings.- Changed to association? Perhaps there's still a better word, but this should work. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- "becoming a titular senator for the Santa Cruz Department": I also think "titular" is not the intended meaning; it means "in name only", or "having a title without power".
- It works in the context but I agree there might be a better word. In Bolivia, we have a senador titular and a senador suplente; a "titular" and an "alternate/substitute". So the word here would mean "titular" as in "title holder". Any ideas on different wording? Krisgabwoosh (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- How about putting senador titular, in italics, with either a parenthesis or a footnote to explain it? Maybe add the same footnote to "alternate", e.g. in the infobox, and explain both terms in the footnote? Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 00:10, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
- I could just shorten the sentence, ending with: " leading Salvatierra to occupy his vacant seat". Krisgabwoosh (talk) 01:22, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

Is Hugo Salvatierra worth a redlink? I see the Spanish Wikipedia has a redlink for him.- I usually consider inserting a valid red link when an article already has a Spanish equivalent that could be translated. As Hugo Salvatierra does not, I opted not to. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 00:10, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

- "Shortly after her resignation, Salvatierra took refuge in the Mexican embassy." Why? Was there some public anger at her for some reason?
- There was general anger at most ruling party officials and parliamentarians around this time, largely due to their political affiliation. I could add a mention of that if you consider it important. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- I think it would help -- I didn't understand the reason she had to take refuge, so I think other readers would wonder too. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 00:10, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
- I added a citation stating that multiple ruling party officials took political asylum in the Mexican Embassy, which should grant the reader better understanding. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 01:22, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

- "Ultimately, it was agreed that the MAS would participate in a Legislative Session in which Áñez would be recognized as president of the Senate": this is cited to the CEB, but given than the next sentence says that MAS "reneged" on this pledge, do pro-MAS sources agree that they did promise to participate?
- From what I've found, they neither affirmed or denied it. There are sources where they convey their willingness to participate, but didnot due to the lack of security guarantees, as mentioned. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- My concern is whether this is NPOV -- if a MAS member were to read this, would they think this is a neutral description? It seems unlikely they would agree "renege" would be a fair word to use. If there are no public comments from MAS, then we could make it clearer that this is the CEB's point of view, instead of saying unequivocally that MAS reneged in Wikipedia's voice. - There are nuances to the CEB's report that are best saved for another time. However, I agree that "reneged" may prove objectionable. I've shortened the sentence to still work while making less accusatory claims. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 01:22, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

You have two instances of "assured that"; "assure" has to take a direct object.- Changed to "affirmed" and "alleged". Krisgabwoosh (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
