Oars ≠ galley

The term "galley" was used at various times for all kind of oared vessels. However, this was never an actual galley, at least not if she was of the same design as Charles Galley. The Charles was really nothing but a sixth rate with oar ports added for extra mobility.

I've been working on the topic of galleys quite a while, so you might want to check out Galley#Definition and terminology.
