Definition of "aerie"

edit

Saxifrage, sorry for creating one of those links you removed. I didn't know about MoS:DAB. However, I don't really like just having a link to wiktionary (which I didn't even see at first). The main use of "aerie" is to refer to the nest of a bird (aerie (dictionary.com)), and several articles (including Golden Eagle and Nest) currently link to this page expecting a definition of the word. I'm restoring the definition of "aerie" for now; I know this is technically against the rules, so if you have a more elegant solution, please implement it. Thanks. –dto 02:32, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

No problem. I executed that rule with a bit of misgiving myself and the second opinion is welcome. Now that I think on it, what I think we really need is an article on raptor nests that would be at Aerie, with this page at Aerie (disambiguation). I'm sure something could be said about them beyond a dicdef, but I'm no ornithologist and wouldn't know where to start. :) — Saxifrage 05:30, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
