Suggested Updates for Aerion Article
editHello Wikipedians,
I'd like to share some updated information (including sources, where possible) about Aerion in the hopes that one of you unbiased volunteers would take it upon yourself to verify the information & make updates to the article. I have a clear conflict of interest and should not make the edits myself, but I'll do my best to keep all the provided information and suggested updates as free of bias as possible.
Anticipated First Flight 2024, Entry into Service 2026. [1]
I do not know if this update qualifies as "notable" or not, I would defer to an experienced editor on that point:
Suppliers announced (Safran, GKN, Aernnova, Potez, GE Aviation). [2]
AS2 Cruise speed is Mach 1.4 (not 1.6). [2] [3]
Leadership: This one is tricky, because while there aren't a lot of 3rd party sources (press) for this... the Aerion website is objectively the best place for accurate & up-to-date information when it comes to the staff. Aerion has had some leadership changes and, because they are a start-up, will probably have more before long. I would suggest that any volunteer who has a strong interest in keeping this article as accurate as possible check on the company website for leadership changes periodically: [4]
