- Afonso is absolutely correct. He is Portuguese. Alfonso is Spanish...
Requested move
editI'm requesting this article to be renamed Afonso, Prince of Portugal, since there's is no official title named Crown Prince of Portugal. He was the heir to the throne, and used the title Prince of Portugal, reserved for the eldest son of the monarch, while his younger brothers and sisters used the titles Infante and/or Infanta. This article has been renamed from Afonso, Crown Prince of Portugal to Afonso, Prince of Portugal as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 20:52, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Added info
editI have added his birth and death places. 24.31.169.252 (talk) 19:48, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Conspiracy
editConspiracy re his death is unfounded and undocumented. If that was true, why did Isabel marry Manuel later on, and their son Miguel declared heir to the throne by the courts of Portugal, Castile, and Aragón? Does not make sense at all. Any reliable references?--Maragm (talk) 20:43, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
