@SimonHConnell seems to be Professor Simon Connell from AfLS Foundation. He recently edited this page without providing a reference and shifted the narrative from the initiative being lead separately by two different organisation to make it about his organisation only. @Theroadislong I wonder if you can look into this please, also see: User talk:SimonHConnell#Your edits AfLSFuzzyMagma (talk) 00:09, 4 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Lnorrisaflsseems to be LAWRENCE NORRIS from AfLS foundation FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:15, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

The following reads absolutely nothing like an encyclopaedia article and more like promo from the AfLS Foundation ..."There are more than 70 light sources, including about 30 high and medium energy synchrotrons, scattered globally but Africa is the only continent without any synchrotron light source facility. Likewise, there is a growing need for innovation to address the challenges that impact the lives of many Africans today. Meeting these challenges calls for investment in science, technology and innovation, including large-scale research infrastructure. To help answer this need, the idea for an African light source has been discussed at least since 2000." Theroadislong (talk) Theroadislong (talk) 17:18, 5 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
