In the article it states that his nationality was Sierra Leonean, yet he was born in British Sierra Leone, lived there his whole life without acquiring any other nationality, and passed away there. What was the nationality in British colonies and protectorates at the time? Does anyone know? If I remember correctly, the "Sierra Leonean" nationality didn't exist until 1971 when Sierra Leone turned into a republic instead of being a Commonwealth realm of the UK.
