editSeems like the standard was not written in 1955, because here (http://www.allmusic.com/album/sonny-stitt-bud-powell-jj-johnson-mw0000203790) and also in the orginial album's page on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonny_Stitt/Bud_Powell/J._J._Johnson) is claimed that this standard was included in the album which was recorded between 1949 and 1950.
First appearnce in an album
editI think the first album which "Afternoon in Paris" was included in should be noted (again - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonny_Stitt/Bud_Powell/J._J._Johnson)
Can anyone confirm or refute these information?
