Accusation of COI
editHello @Grayfell, You have put a note claiming a COI on this page and this note on Talk:Decentralization:
- Please also disclose you conflict of interest with Aggelos Kiayias, as a significant percentage of your activity on Wikipedia has been to subtly (or not-so-subtly) promote this academic.
- Grayfell (talk) 21:54, 27 March 2024
Where does this spurious use of statistics come from? I am not promoting Kiayias. Rather, adding material about blockchain and cryptography, where he is among "the most distinguished" scientists in his field, according to the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
You've previously accused me of being a PR for using the phrase "set out", and accused me of adding text I did not write. What next? Accusing me of being Scottish? Please stop harassing me and trying to impose your paranoid agenda.GreyStar456 (talk) 11:12, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- The statistic come from a cursory glance at your contribution history. You did, after all, create Draft:Aggelos Kiayias. When your edits show up on my watchlist, they have frequently been heavily promotional of specific IOHK-affiliated academics and related cryptocurrency projects. It shouldn't come as any great shock that this would raise WP:COI red flags. Grayfell (talk) 00:06, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
