Scanty
editThis article hardly does justice to the subject of Agriculture in Kenya. Needs considerable expansion 105.231.138.224 (talk) 11:34, 2 July 2014 (UTC). I agree. The article pays much attention to minor issues (sweet potatoes, green houses) yet on the major crops and production nothing is written. Most likely the article needs a complete overhaul.

/* Coffee */ Original reference seemed to be missing some context.
editThe full paragraph from the Reference 7 is
"Better techniques help, too. Smallholder coffee farmers in Kenya are able to increase their incomes by 40% by following a few simple guidelines on caring for their bushes, such as trimming all but three of their stems. Many of their neighbours do not follow the advice, because it seems counter-intuitive. More stems ought to lead to more coffee beans, they say. Yet after seeing those following the advice get bigger harvests for a season or two, many others start doing the same."
The article does not mention coffee at any other point than this. It seems strange to include this in the article, and the evidence seems anecdotal. Is this really noteworthy enough for this article? I'm not sure, but hopefully this will kick-start discussion on it. For now I've edited the reference to show the full quote, rather than what was shown before. I don't really think this is a good solution, since it relies on people looking at the reference section, but I just wanted to go with the convention that the previous author provided.
