I believe that the discrepancy regarding age (in 2 Chronicles) applies to Ahaziah of Judah, not Ahaziah of Israel. Chronicles makes very little reference to the kings of Israel, and neither Kings nor Chronicles gives ages at accession for the northern kings. I also think that the statement in the article that says that the reference in Kings is wrong, should rather refer to the reference in Chronicles (where Ahaziah appears to have been born two years ahead of his father).Opaanderson17:56, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Given that Chronicles was written after Kings and that there are plenty of small inconsistencies in the Bible, I don't see how the inconsistency (or lack of) is especially important. If anyone wants to rewrite this paragraph in a more encyclopedic way, please do so; I don't know enough about the matter to feel comfortable changing it or deleting it. It says "During his reign the Moabites revolted from under his authority (2 Kings 3:5-7).", Are you sure? It looks like it is under Jeroham's reign (not Ahaziah's). I believe the reference should be 2 Kings 1:1 --Iggydarsa (talk) 21:05, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

The family tree on the main page shows that of Ahaziah of Judah, not that of Ahaziah of Israel.
Ahaziah of Israel was son of Ahab of Israel, not of Jehoshaphat of Judah — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.230.147.20 (talk) 18:33, 7 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
