Why is Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention's Discography in this Article?
editSeems that it doesn't belong here. Any objections to its removal? Leoniana (talk) 05:06, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
define "many"
edit"He has since created and sold many films."
imdb gives him two producer credits, one writer credit. this needs citation or deletion. Bustter (talk) 11:10, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
Archer book
editI took out information about the book that was created by Georgia and Ancel Archer. It has no real relevance here and seems like just promotion of an IP user's opinion or promotion of the book. It was uncited, original research. Thank you. -- JoannaSerah (talk) 17:01, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
- Ideas or concepts are not copyrightable, it is the form of expression (text) that is copyrightable, so claims that an idea such as "leaves growing out of a person" is copyrighted are inherently void. See the Idea–expression divide article.
- The concept of "leaves growing out of a person" is not new to this century. Mythologically, the Greenman of British myth had leaves growing out of him. See the collection of leaved individuals in the article at Green Man. In addition, there are numerous science fiction stories which play upon the interface between plant and animal. --Bejnar (talk) 20:23, 15 November 2012 (UTC) See for example here a 1978 story about being born with leaves. While they seemed healthy enough, the leafy cubs rustled when they walked or ran ... --Bejnar (talk) 21:10, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
- Regarding this issue, see WP:AN3#User:24.238.92.20 reported by User:Bejnar (Result: 48h). I've warned the IP editor not to restore this claim to the article again unless reliable sources agree that the material was taken without proper acknowledgment from a previous work. Was he named for Ahmet Ertegun?
editJust wondering. Shotguntony (talk) 19:25, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
"Many films"
editI'd like to reiterate that the article states that Ahmet Zappa "has created many films", but all we see in his filmography and on IMDB are one that has been in development hell since 2006, and The Odd Life of Timothy Green that did eventually materialize in 2012 (to meager box office and critical success). That's, uh...not really "many". --80.187.113.170 (talk) 10:11, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
