Opening Comments

edit

The way I do a good article review is similar to a trial. I put opening comments in and then have you speak. I address issues(if there are any) and give you plenty of time to fix them. From my first read through, this article is in very good shape. I found lots of information from it and it gives a great background on the Air Train JFK System. I we both can work together to get through this process easily. AmericanAir88 (talk) 00:09, 7 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Epicgenius:

  • "It contains 10 stations serving six terminals as well as connections to the New York City Subway and Long Island Rail Road in Howard Beach and Jamaica. AirTrain JFK is operated by Bombardier Transportation under contract to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the operator of the airport. It runs a 24/7 service all year round."

This sentence uses the word "It" a lot. The word it is a very general term and the article would benefit from a more specific word. Also identify the location when you say "serving six terminals" AmericanAir88 (talk) 01:40, 7 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • "The All Terminals loop, an airport terminal circulator, serves the six terminal stations (Terminal 1, Terminals 2/3, Terminal 4, Terminal 5, Terminal 7, and Terminal 8). It operates in the opposite direction as the Howard Beach and Jamaica branches, making a continuous clockwise loop around the terminals. Connections to the Q3, Q10 and B15 local buses are available at Terminal 5."

Update with new information/expand(Theres no more Terminal 3) AmericanAir88 (talk) 01:40, 7 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • "During middays, trains come every 10 to 15 minutes, with 4 to 6 tph on each branch; during nights, trains come every 15 to 20 minutes, with 3 to 4 tph on each branch; and during weekends, trains come every 16 minutes, with 4 tph on each branch."

Run on Sentence AmericanAir88 (talk) 01:40, 7 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • "With the exception of Terminal 4, all AirTrain stations are outside the terminal buildings, sit on the other side of the terminal roadway from each building, and are connected to their respective stations through elevated walkways over the roadway. The actual Terminal 4 opened in 2013, after the AirTrain JFK opened."

Passage could use some reworking AmericanAir88 (talk) 01:40, 7 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Renamed section. epicgenius (talk) 20:10, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
I only found one broken reference. I've fixed that. The rest need a PDF viewer. epicgenius (talk) 20:12, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

All issues have been solved, the review will now begin.
