Vandalism in short description
editShort description contains vandalism. 85.221.158.102 (talk) 15:18, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
Linking to About.com
editI added links to about.com because it's already the most comprehensive source of information on the subject. There is no way to make Wikipedia articles about every AFSC without incorporating text from about.com. It may be possible to have a layman's description of each job, as the descriptions in about.com can be somewhat cryptic. However, this would most likely take firsthand knowledge of the job and would not conform to Wikipedia policies of No Original Research. Kajmal 18:03, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
NEEDS RE-WRITE
editThis article needs a substantial re-write to conform to the new AFECD published 1 Aug 2010. Most sections need to conform to the Quick Reference here. Deaddebate (talk) 00:32, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Historical List of AFSCs
editWould it improve the article’s history section to either include a matrix, or a link to a separate matrix, that shows which AFSCs before McPeak converted to which after McPeak? TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 18:41, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
I think it would definitely improve the article's history. I am an Air Force Veteran from before the change. I would definitely be interested in the various pre-change AFSC codes and what they were converted to. For instance, my AFSC was 426x4 (Jet Powerplant Technician).
