Well, I wasn't adding the redlinks tag for you, I was adding it for everybody. I don't feel strongly about it. Anyway, in the section of Akazome Emon where you've written "classical kana orthography," I'm a bit confused. I was under the impression that there was no dakuten in classical orthography. Am I wrong? Dekimasu 07:35, 9 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

{{Redlinks}} is one of the ugliest box templates ever created. It has no encyclopedic value, is useless to the reader, and is borderline insulting to the editors. It ought to be placed on the talk page if anything. I don't know if you've noticed, but the English WP's coverage of classical Japan is next to horrible; I'm trying to solve the issue one major work at a time (currently working on the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu; see), with the intention that any red links created will be filled up in a second pass. On the topic of dakuten, I am not sure if the original manuscripts contained them, but modern transliterations certainly do use them freely. See [1] for the specific waka cited in the Akazome Emon article, for example. Kaustuv Chaudhuri 17:04, 9 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
