Hospitals
editThere are more than two hospitals in Akershus. Of the two mentioned in the article, Akershus Universitssykehus is the largest in the county, and one of the largest in Norway, while Sunnaas is a small hospital that specializes in physical therapy and rehabilitation. Sykehuset Asker og Bærum, which is not mentioned, is a large general hospital. In general terms, Akershus Universitetssykehus serves the east half of the county and some of the eastern parts of Oslo, while Sykehuset Asker og Bærum serves the west half of the county as well as some of the western parts of Oslo. Both have smaller "satellites" throughout the county, including smaller general hospitals, specialized clinics, and local emergency clinics. DES (talk) 23:40, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Airports
editThe airport at Rygge is actually located in Østfold County. --Egd81 (talk) 03:15, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Dates confusion
editThis article states that Oplandenes was separated from Akershus in 1768 which later split to become Hedmark and Oppland. However the articles on Hedmark and Oppland both state that the initial split took place in 1757. Can anybody shed any further light on this to improve the consistency between these articles? It's 2020: where is Akershus now?
editSo, the article says Akershus is a former county. But the introduction doesn't include what county it's now in (2020)? I have a suspicion that it is now in Oslo County, but then again, there's not a Wikipedia entry for Oslo County (only for the city of Oslo, and Greater Oslo). Can someone in-the-know edit the intro to include where the county now is? - Hooperswim (talk) 19:54, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
