Autobiography or conflict of interest
editThis article was originally posted on 23 January 2014 by User:Akhtargorshani. After I posted an autobiography tag on the article on the corresponding user warning on his talk page, he blanked the content of the article, whereupon I submitted it for speedy deletion for user blanking, and it was deleted. It has now been reposted by a new user, User:Diplomatinusa. Gorchani, according to this article, is a diplomat in the USA. All in all, the evidence points to the strength of the possibility that the two users are the same person or, at the very least, the latter user posted this at the behest of the former user, hence a conflict of interest.
That being said, the article contains some remarkable claims about this person's accomplishments. Given it's autobiographical nature, it's all the more important for verifiability that every claim be supported by independent reliable sources. I searched Google for the name Gorchani in association with "Flight 544", and I turned up no reliable sources relating the two. Therefore, I'm going to remove that claim. It can certainly be restored if appropriate supporting material can be found for it. —Largo Plazo (talk) 23:32, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
- I searched for Flight 544 in conjunction with either Gorchani or Gorshani, once I realized that his name was being listed here with both spellings. Using "Gorshani" instead of "Gorchani" turned up nothing more. —Largo Plazo (talk) 13:08, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
- Akhtar Gorchani is a senior police officer. He has served As DG IB. this article should not be deleted rather improved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.88.244.102 (talk) 16:39, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
