Proposed edit of this page
editThis page is a bit of a mess - a single referenced fact - and that to a Saudi Ministry of Tourism brochure - created in the main by a user who has been indeffed and who has a history of Sock Puppetry and disruptive editing. Most of the 'facts' given here look pretty wild and are nigh on impossible to verify, along with a load of cruft about Iraqi tribal customs which is a) irrelevant to the Al Ali themselves and b) either generic to all Arabian tribes or simply strange assertion: "However, two or three tribes (Asheera عشيرة pl. Ashayer) may have the same ancestry and cooperate in war under one banner and commanded by one leader who is called Shaikh of the shaikhs (Shaikh al Mashayikh شيخ المشايخ). The shaikh's ancestors may not be the same as those of his tribe that he commands." for instance, is just rubbish and nothing to do with the Al Ali at all. The sections on offshoots and influential people is also full of rubbish. I'm proposing to replace this entire text with a much shorter, but properly referenced, text on what we *do* know about the Al Ali tribe and then let other editors restore the article with cited fact. Any views? Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 05:09, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
