- There was a draft Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Arabic for transliteration, but it purely a draft MoS, which is not an official one. However, seem Egyptian use El as transliteration, instead of al- suggested by the MoS (which derived from United Nations documents and not to be confuse with "Al" used in human name) . There is not much English reliable source for the Egyptian club, but other Egyptian club had "Al" as common name, as well as some betting site using "Al Fanar" for this club. Since moving to "El Fanar" was way too controversial and without any source to support it, i simply revert the controversial move. Matthew_hk tc 12:05, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks @Matthew hk, I have actually just found what appears to be an official site and this uses "Al". Nzd (talk) 12:21, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
