editHello
Im gonna have to dispute the neutrality of this article ... It contains no references to any statements made by alleged members of the Islah movement, in defense of their actions ... nor does it present the position of Human rights watch. who feel that these actions against this organization is a 'Crackdown' on "...any and every semblance of dissent...", in contravention of 'Article 14, Article 32 & Article 13(2) of the Arab Charter on Human Rights.[1]
It should also be noted that Al Islah has maintained that they have no plans to "...set up an armed wing with the aim of seizing power and establishing an Islamic state in the Gulf Arab country", countering that "...These accusations are not true and are baseless, except in the minds of those who fabricated them". Al Islah also go on the say that "... its mission was to advocate peaceful reforms, said it has no connections with the global Muslim Brotherhood organisation". [2]
Without presenting these counter position, while addressing the issues of the arrests of al Islah's members, and their alleged intent on building a military wing to overthrow the gulf governments, presents a very biased picture of this group, and its activities.
Hi,
I totally agree with the above critique. This article is biased in every way possible. It only relies on sources loyal to the UAE government. Furthermore it takes for granted that the "concessions" made by detained members of Islah were given freely and honestly and not under any form of pressure, which is most likely not the case.
This article uncritically presents Islah as the UAE government would have it and is most likely written by the government itself or groups loyal to it. It should be discarded as wiki-material. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.198.204.122 (talk) 11:05, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
