editIn 1982, in response to a question from author Richard Reeves about whether newspapers had a role in educating the public, Neuharth said: "We may have a bit of a role in educating the public...but not so much that it gets in the way of the information they want and will pay for." --Viriditas | Talk 11:50, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Residence
editLike all rich people, Neuharth had several homes, one of which was in Cocoa Beach from about the later 1960s on. He built a "mansion" on the beach in 1973. How many days a year did he spend here? Going to be hard to calculate, nor do I know where he voted sans his columns documenting that. I suspect that he was all over. But CB was definitely an "anchor" for him since the early 70s. Working during depression
editDoubtless, Neuharth worked during the depression. Most children did something then, when they were old enough. The article suggests when he was two. This needs changing!
He seems to have no siblings, so "supporting his family" goes out the window. Supporting his mother? Living with his mother's father, helping work to support his mother's family? This would make more sense. Bio is over-glowing and skips these little details. Student7 (talk) 12:35, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
