Alamgir enchanted his school audience with his beautiful voice- some time with parody songs like "Ansar Ali-Monsur Ali began to mara mari under the laoo (gourd plant) gaaser tole".He also wisely used his voice to give the melodious Azan. This attracted many unaware students to the spiritual world. He was then between 11-16. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.149.128.104 (talk) 16:28, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
"Baba-e Pop"
editAs per 203.82.55.204's suggestion, the translation of "Baba-e Pop" has been changed to "Father of Pop". Feel free to change this if you actually speak/understand Urdu. At least the discussion is now on off the main page. Ghan-buri-ghan (talk) 21:39, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
the song " Pyar hai zindagi ka gehna " was not sung by Alamgir , infact it was sung by Tehsin Javed another Pop Singer of Paksitan , who won laurels .
..incidently there is a story , Tehsin was asked to sing a song by Sohail Rana he could not make it , and Alamgir was close by so Alamgir sang that song .....and when Shoab Mansur was producing this song he choose Alamgir ....but this time Alamgir could not make it ....so Tehsin Javed sang this superb Hit.
I think the author is confusing another Hit ,
Meyrey Lafzoon key jhankar to
Meyree sansson key mehkar too
Aa Jaa
mey teyrey liyee baychain
tou meyray liyee baychain
tayrey nain say mairay nan
miltee rehey sukh chain
you can download or listen Tehsin javed from here

which was composed on another Foreign Song ..
Incidently ...." Albele Rahi " was sung on the tune of " Guantana Mera " ...a revoluntionary Cuban Song.
