He can donate it, if that is what he would want to do, without incurring in any loss.

I suppose if he did, that that would give him an up over Microsofts ' Bill Gates ', whom also has used fast amounts of real estate to reduce his yearly tax liabilities to the point of those same structures having reached a depreciation value of zero.
