Count Marcellinus: "Beorgor, king of the Alans, was killed by king Ricimer" [Beorgor rex Alanorum a Ricimere rege occiditur].

The Fasti vindobonenses priores: "In this year, on 6 February, Beorgor, king of the Alans, was killed at Bergamo, at the foot of the mountains" ["his cons. occisus est Beorgor rex Alanorum Bergamo ad pede montis VIII idus Februarias"]

Is there a source for ancestor worship? I don't doubt it because many peoples have practiced it, but I still think a source would be important. -Darokrithia (talk) 30 November 2017

Please remove ambiguity over the reference to 'River Don'. I thought it referred to the river in England. In fact, most likely it refers to. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_(river). Perhaps say

The Don river (central to southern Russia)

Not done: Don River is already linked twice in the article, and the style guide for links states that duplicates should be avoided. Tollens (talk) 21:20, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
May I add that I think the user is confused between the River Don in Russia with a different River Don in England (or there’s others too in Australia or wherever else). I don’t know how one can get confused, when the sentence that states that the River Don is in Central Asia, and the whole article is about the Caucasus anyways. Last I checked, the tectonic plates haven’t shifted to put England, Canada, France or Australia in Central Asia yet. Fork99 (talk) 17:57, 12 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Alains are are barbarians who invaded Gaul in 406, crossed into Spain around 409, they were defeated by the Visigoths. How to create a new related page? AZOG Kalimdor (talk) 11:59, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
