Fair use rationale for Image:Downtown-skyline-Calgary-radisson-heights2.jpg
editImage:Downtown-skyline-Calgary-radisson-heights2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Requested move 3 March 2022
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: move to Albert Park/Radisson Heights. The discussion indicates that disambiguation is unnecessary and that the uses of slashes is WP:CONSISTENT with other articles of Calgary neighbourhoods. Radisson Heights, Calgary → Albert Park/Radisson Heights, Calgary – Official name of neighborhood is Albert Park/Radisson Heights. MuzikMachine (talk) 03:24, 3 March 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 03:22, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 14:35, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
- Wikipedia doesn't automatically copy official names, and that construction seems too awkward to be the common name. Also see WP:SLASH. — BarrelProof (talk) 05:12, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
- While admittedly the neighborhood name awkward, it represents both the former village of Albert Park, Alberta, as well as the slightly newer and larger Radisson Heights. Another option for naming could be to follow the City of Calgary and use a dash, i.e. "Albert Park–Radisson Heights, Calgary". --MuzikMachine (talk) 15:30, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

- The City of Calgary does not observe Wikipedia's WP:SLASH guideline
in its official neighbourhood names. Official names are in this open dataset and slashes are used. Notwithstanding, I am indifferent if we want to use dash or endash instead. Whatever is chosen, this neighbourhood doesn’t require disambigutation. Drop the ", Calgary". It should be Albert Park/Radisson Heights, Albert Park-Radisson Heights, or Albert Park–Radisson Heights. Hwy43 (talk) 03:47, 11 March 2022 (UTC)- According to that link, the City of Calgary does observe the WP:SLASH, which is common in other general (official and otherwise) references to the community. I would support Albert Park/Radisson Heights. Checking Category:Neighbourhoods in Calgary shows that other names with the WP:SLASH are being used. MuzikMachine (talk) 00:42, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- What I was saying is the City of Calgary does not share Wikipedia's aversion to the use of slashes. By all means, the City of Calgary uses slashes numerous times in the official names of its neighbourhoods. Hwy43 (talk) 01:17, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- Ah, I understand. Thanks! MuzikMachine (talk) 16:05, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
