Hi Natiann123, I received a notification of the deletion template on the page. Looking this over, I have some notes for you:

1. The first thing that stood out with this article was the complete lack of sources to back up any claims in the article. All articles should have enough sourcing to not only show where the topic is notable, but to also verify the claims made. In other words, the sources need to show us why Podell is important and show proof of the claims. When finding sources for this, make sure that the sources you use are the best possible sources. Try to avoid using primary sources (things released by Podell and people/organizations affiliated or related to him), as these cannot show notability and aren't the best things to use for major claims of significance. On a side note, avoid stating that someone is on a particular Wikipedia list, as Wikipedia cannot be used as a reliable source because it's so easily edited by many people and often tends to be slanted towards coverage in English. In other words, while he may be listed as #3 on a list, that may only be because another person's travels weren't covered in the English media. A better way to phrase this would be to say that he's one of a small group of people that has visited every continent and back this up with a reliable source.
2. The article is also written in a way that really flatters Podell. Be very careful of this, as this can come across as promotional - even if your intent was good and you were writing this from the viewpoint of someone who admires Podell. All content must be written in a neutral manner and claims must not be built up to make the person or topic look better. Part of the reason for this is that importance is often subjective - what could be seen as major to one person may not be to another.
3. Be careful of claims. All claims must be backed up with an independent, reliable source that explicitly states and verifies the claim. Avoid using primary sources for claims of significance, as it's actually pretty common for people to puff up accomplishments made by themselves, their friends/family, or people they represent. It doesn't mean that the claim is necessarily false, but it might not have been all that thoroughly verified and could be fairly major in the grand scheme of things.
4. Make sure that you aren't repeating content. I noticed that you repeated some of the claims in Podell's career section in other sections, so make sure to avoid restating things in other sections.

I think that it will likely be easy to find sourcing for notability, but I am somewhat concerned that you may not be able to find enough that verifies all of the claims. You may have to scale back some of what you've written. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 21:47, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
