Albrecht Goštautas → Olbracht Gasztołd – I see that the article was briefly moved long ago, and moved back, with a request that the RM is held when the move is attempted once again. Search for "Albrecht Goštautas" on Google Books nets 4 results. Search for "Olbracht Gasztołd" nets 154 results. _{Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me} 02:11, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

• oppose typical misinterpretation of Google hits. Nominator forgot to mentioned such "unimportant" thing that those alleded "154" hints for the Olbracht Gasztołd almost exclusively are in Polish language sources. If we going by such logic I propose to use new titile: Albertas Goštautas as this one yields 203 results inculcating English. M.K. (talk) 12:58, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

    • No, his search is correct, it is more that Google links apparently retain some surprising artifacts. MK used my searches to build his own, and my searches contain the artifact remains of my previous search (The Troelfth Cake).       • • This is strange. Before I clicked the link and it was a completely different search. I even emptied my cache to make sure and it was still going to "The Troelfth Cake". • Oppose - which surprises myself because in this period of history and this geography I'd normally consider the Polish name more WP:RS than Latvian/Byelorussian/Lithuanian or even Latin/German. NOT because Googlebooks has more Polish texts, but because the Polish names are often the ones transmitted in Documents of the period, where Latin isn't used. However the actual sources in this article seem to strongly suggest that the article (in present form) should stay where it is. • Comment while looking into this farther: The name should be either "Olbracht Gasztołd", per this request, or "Albertas Goštautas" as suggested by M.K. Ok: "Albertas Goštautas" Lithuania - [1], 18 hits on gbooks.

"Olbracht Gasztołd" Lithuania - [2], one hit.

"Albrecht Goštautas" Lithuania - [3], one hit

"Olbracht Gasztołd" Poland - does a little better, [4] with ten hits.

So yeah I'd go with either "Albertas Goštautas" or "Olbracht Gasztołd" - just NOT the current name.Volunteer Marek (talk) 23:46, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Olbracht Gasztołd → Albertas Goštautas – I just closed the RM discussion since it was clear that the name needed to be changed. What the best target name was was unclear. This was the other name that had been proposed. So this nomination is to see which name now has consensus. Vegaswikian (talk) 17:36, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

Lead

I'd like to clean up the lead to swap the name following the move but don't feel competent... I'd be guessing what language the former title is. Can someone do it for me? TIA! Andrewa (talk) 07:32, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Polish Counts of the Holy Roman Empire

I'd question this category. The Grand Duchy of Lithuania was merged with Poland only several decades after Goštautas' death (only a crown union existed in his time), so technically it's incorrect. AntonBryl (talk) 22:42, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
