There's quite a famous story about a teenager called Spencer Treworthy who made some claims regarding money and that he could save Aldershot from going out of business. I can't find many details at all - Google only turns up one reference for his name - but it might be worth a mention in the article. No mention of the amazing sides they sometimes turned out during WW2 when so many famous players were stationed in the town in the army - Stanley Matthews, Tommy Lawton, Frank Swift, Stan Cullis - or the side managed by Jimmy Melia in the 70s.86.13.147.181 (talk) 08:47, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
