Origin of Walford school name?
editI'm always curious about who or what schools are named after, and school's original name was Walford Secondary School. Walford doesn't seem to be a place in Northolt, and the only other associated Walford seems to be Launcelot Charles Walford who was Rector of Northolt between 1906 and 1917. Aside from writing some devotional texts, I can't find anything notable about him that would cause a secular council school to be named after him. I tried asking at the Miscellaneous Reference desk but no help was forthcoming. Hopefully, something will turn up. Alansplodge (talk) 19:08, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
