A fact from Aleksey Remizov appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 20 June 2006. The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Russian modernist writer Aleksey Remizov(pictured) was also an expert calligrapher who sought to revive this medieval art form in Russia?

The portrait of him is excellent, but it also begs the question as to his ethnic make-up. Is he partially another ethnicity like Pushkin? --Bobak 16:23, 19 June 2006 (UT
I am not sure whether his ethnic origin was so important. I would think there might have been a Jew among his ancestors. Some claim that a receding hairline is a pointer. I would have been more interested in if he was married and to whom and if his writing sustained him or how else he made a crust. 121.209.49.104 (talk) 04:36, 29 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
