Age?

edit

This lady's age seems to be a well-guarded secret, can anyone track down a birthdate? Dancindazed (talk) 23:23, 19 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

As of her wedding date of April 29, 2007, she was 37 years old, as cited in the New York Times. As of April 29, 2012, she is 42 years old. Her year of birth is either 1969 or 1970. Reidca (talk) 21:28, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation of last

edit

I noticed everyone says her name ending "Shelley" while I believe it would technically be "Skelly" in the original Italian. Anyone know if there's something I'm missing here. This is a similar issue to Javier Mascherano where it is discussed in depth. Nlsanand (talk) 02:02, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Her surname seems to be "Gwarna-shelly" on every show she appears on. PKT(alk) 15:23, 4 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

BLP issue

edit

An editor is 1) violating MOS by putting a footnote in the infobox that can be cited in the article body; and 1) making a personal-life WP:BLP claim about a middle name while declining to provide a full citation for this claim. We can't say, "She says this somewhere in this one-hour episode — look it up" and refuse to give a timestamp any more than we can make a personal-life claim from a book and refuse to give a page number. The "av media" cite template clearly has a field for this ("time= "). BLP issues require stricter RS an any other edits, and there is no WP:3RR for edits pointing out BLP violations. Additionally, after the first revert, the protocol per WP:BLP was for that editor to come to this talk page and initiate discussion with other editors. --Tenebrae (talk) 16:58, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Incidentally, Maria is the name of Alex's mother. Perhaps the editor misheard and believes Maria was Alex's middle name. Since I'm not finding any other source of this middle-name claim, that raises a red flag. --Tenebrae (talk) 17:01, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
Alex stated in the episode I referenced that Alexandra Maria Guarnaschelli is her full name; and I also stated exactly when she said this (timestamp isn’t a required variable in the {{cite episode}} template anymore). You’re posting as though I made a bad faith edit; what’s your problem? Erpert blah, blah, blah... 19:51, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure why the hostility — a good-faith edit would include the timestamp, just as a book cite would include a page number. If you've been to that episode, which I presume is available online, then I'm not sure why anyone making this BLP claim would not want to specify exactly where they heard it. Saying, "I'm not required to give that" is sort of missing the point of a good-faith citation. Is there any reason you don't want to include it? --Tenebrae (talk) 22:03, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Marital Infidelity

edit

removed the following unsourced statements: "Brandon was cheating on Alex with more than one other woman while Alex was pregnant with their daughter. It was these extra-marital relationships which eventually led to the crumbling marriage and divorce. While Clark tried to stay away from rumors initially, he later admitted to having an affair with two women."

Per wikipedias statement on potentially libelous statements of living individuals.
