Note on Albert Einstein Medal
editCan someone verify Alex' claim that he won the Albert Einstein Medal in 2000?
The Wikipedia article: Albert Einstein Medal doesn't mention his name at all.
"Given his track record of blatantly lies and narcissistic behavior, this is probably false..."
According to the wikipedia article on the [Einstein Medal],
[Andreas Tammann] won the Albert Einstein Medal in 2000. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.20.16.239 (talk) 22:32, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
The “Albert Einstein Technology Medal” appears to be different than the Albert Einstein Medal or the UNESCO Albert Einstein Medal. Aish HaTorah awards the medal that Mashinsky reportedly won, but I couldn’t find any coverage to verify this claim. White 720 (talk) 21:15, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
Note on previous AfD
editThe article currently here is significantly different (and better) than the version deleted at AfD. power~enwiki (π, ν) 21:34, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
Mashinsky's company is in a major crises; and the article does not mention it
editMashinsky has given an interview, several days after his business Celsius Network froze up, and they stopped allowing any customer withdrawls. Let's add sources here. Article will be better when/as it covers this business and personal crises for Mashinsky. N2e (talk) 01:35, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

Makes sense. 12.190.236.71 (talk) 23:09, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
Date Mashinsky moved to Israel can be updated
editIn a CoinTelegraph interview it states that Mashinsky moved with his family to Israel in 1972

WSJ article from 2022-08-06
editThis article chronicles Mashinsky's career. Unfortunately, as I don't have a WSJ subscription and it's not yet showing up in ProQuest at my local library, I can't read it yet. Sharing it here for future use. White 720 (talk) 18:09, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- This article is now available in ProQuest, so I've added citations to its contents. White 720 (talk) 05:02, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Examiner’s report
editThis report just dropped from Molly White, of Web3 is Going Just Great fame: https://newsletter.mollywhite.net/p/the-celsius-examiners-report-a-picture
Might be useful as a source for additional information about how the company was operating. White 720 (talk) 01:21, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

January 2023 profile from Reuters
editCould be a good reliable source: https://www.reuters.com/technology/who-is-alex-mashinsky-man-behind-alleged-celsius-crypto-fraud-2023-01-05/ White 720 (talk) 04:40, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
Book
editCointelegraph (non-reliable) reports that, based on a Wiley tweet and some listings on online booksellers, Mashinsky had been planning to publish a book called The Mashinsky Method: The Decentralized Path to Financial Freedom in June 2023, but Wiley, the publisher, confirmed in Feb ‘23 that it was canceled.
This seems like notable info, though we need a reliable source to report on it before including it in the article. White 720 (talk) 04:47, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
Reddit antagonism
editI found this post on Celsius Network's subreddit complaining about the "way too complimentary" language on Alex Mashinsky's page, and about me personally. I plan to keep adding info while also respecting WP:BLP and Wikipedia:NPOV. At the same time, unsourced edits that refer to the article subject by derogatory names, or that accuse him of running a Ponzi scheme without reliable sources to back that claim up, will continue to be reverted, by myself and others. In addition, editors should not cast aspersions on other editors, such as by accusing them of affiliation with Mashinsky or Celsius without evidence, as this is a personal attack.
