In this clause

that was his parent's slave

Filipino family is unique

edit

I plan to write a book as voluminous and as quirky as those written by nobel prize of literature winners of south america about the extensive integrative but not all the time harmonious family of a middle class filipino that includes even the burial of maids who lived with the family forever and ever...Sometimes the maid dies ahead of the padre/madre familia but proper burial is given..So the difference in this lola case is that she was not paid but do you think she opted to go home and met more misery at home? She was always free to escape if she wished. We may call this as compassionate slavery...but her slavery ceased when she was paid already somewhere at the end. And became legal. Having servants is not new. When I was in Europe as I was told the top most floor of a castle has small rooms where the servants lived.. but this is not slavery for they were paid and fed. You can learn from this very huge book of mine ...it could be true with a lot of quirks to make it a reality with fantasy... just like what the npw in lit did with their books in s.a. This will shed a light especially to americans of filipino origin in the usa for they donot have maids to do their daily routine- remember pay the minimum hourly rate or else you'll get arrested- and for those who never lived in the phil. for that matter. Know your roots and stop clamoring Isolatedpiece (talk) 22:12, 21 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
