editFixing up the Arbuthnot family. From this entry I removed the following non-notable info:
- Fourth son of John Arbuthnot Sr in Portertown and of Legasland. (If by "in" is meant his birthplace is Portertown, I would say that, but it it not clear.)
- Died intestate.
- Married Agnes Pennycuik.
Moronic editing
editHow many printers were there in Edinburgh in 1582? Yet a nn tag has been added. Is the editor being sarcastic or ignorant? - Kittybrewster (talk) 16:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- How many rat catchers were there or bakers or builders? Also I dont think that you need to read WP:NPA or WP:CIVIL again as you have been blocked for it before. Please adhere to these policies.--Vintagekits 16:54, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- My second question is answered. - Kittybrewster (talk) 16:55, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- Are you going to discuss this persons notability or continue with your personal attacks. If it is the later then I am going to nominate this article for deletion.--Vintagekits 16:58, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- I am not attacking you but your editing. He is in Encyclopedia Britannica etc. Do check your facts. - Kittybrewster (talk) 17:02, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- You are attacking me - "Is the editor being sarcastic or ignorant?" that is a direct breach of WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. Secondly you just added the reference to Encyclopedia Britannica and this is not Encyclopedia Britannica, this is wiki and I do not believe he passes WP:BIO or WP:N and unless I can be convinced otherwise then I am going to nominate this article for AfD.--Vintagekits 17:06, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- It was not a statement but a genuine question which you answered for me. Thank you. It would not be the first or second article you unsuccesfully nominated for afd. I assume you are learning something from the process. If you are not, you don't have to look far to figure it out. What is the purpose of questioning each fact with an inline tag? Why don't you use google and find out for yourself where the info comes from? - Kittybrewster (talk) 17:12, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- The only thing I am learning from the AfD's is that my cannot objective edit or comment on articles about your own family and "your cabal" are a bunch of votestackers. As for your final coment, the burden of proof is on those who wish to keep the detail in the article if you cant prove and reference it then it will be removed.--Vintagekits 17:25, 6 May 2007 (UTC) p.s. you need to learn who to reference properly because the way you do it at the moment means that editors can not follow it.--Vintagekits 17:27, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
