Notability concerns

I'm going to be honest, I do have some concerns about the article's notability. #5 feels more like a general statement than an analysis of her character itself (and name searching seems to not turn up more in this regard, in fact the sole mention is more small of her actual name...maybe I'm not reading into the same way you are.)

Moreso though, 8 feels pretty trivial and a bit drawn out in the article prose, and I'm not entirely sold on 6: Maddy seems to be talking more from a gameplay angle, than any relevance to her character. @Kung Fu Man: I personally think it is clearly notable even if no more sources were added. I wouldn't have made it if I wasn't 100% sure of this fact. My WP:THREE sources would be 1, 2 and 7, but there are numerous others that could conceivably be called significant coverage. 9, while fannish, still talks about her to an article-length extent. Obviously, anyone can nominate an article for AfD, but I would be careful it didn't come off as WP:REVENGE given your recent heavy defense of Lucario and given that I just provided several solid sources with SIGCOV. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 07:06, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

I read the original statement as implying the article would be deleted if not improved. If you didn't mean to suggest that, my apologies. In any case, while the article is nowhere close to GA standard yet, I personally don't think it necessarily requires strengthening in an emergency fashion, unless one wanted to make it a better article. Obviously, I don't mind if better sources are found and there are definitely books from which to massively expand the lore and backstory. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 15:06, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

Ah nah don't worry about that man, I may AfD a lot but generally I want to see subjects survive and this has some neat avenues. The Lucario thing was more frustration at getting AfD'd just as soon as I'd set it up, after having that done about...5 or 6 times over the years?...it does kick in my fight response. Like I said also, I do wish too you'd hit me up on stuff like that beforehand so we can compare notes. I do *try* to understand your opinion, even if I don't always agree, and I feel we're working towards similar goals in the long run.

Speaking of goals, have you looked into Tyrande Whisperwind at all? I feel like she should have more, but she's been stuck at Start for a bit.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 15:43, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

Based on what I found (just this) I would say that Tyrande is probably not independently notable. She'd work in an overall character list but the redirect was probably correct.

That said I do admit that there's a possibility Tyrande would be kept in AfD. RPS is undoubtedly trivial but PCGamesN could be interpreted as SIGCOV and she has SIGCOV from Engadget, so it would be borderline. If another good source was uncovered it would be an easy keep for me but I cannot find one. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 16:25, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
